ARRESTS
Trevor Roberts of Mad House Alley, Newtown was formally charged for the offence Larceny which was allegedly committed at Lucky’s Store on Fort Street on 17th May 2013.
Kevin Herbert of Phillips Village was formally charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis which was committed at Wellington Road on 17th May 2013.
Kennedy Richardson of Saddlers Village was formally charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis which was committed on 17th May 2013.
Krystus Wallace of Boyds Village was formally charged for the offence of Demanding Money By Menace which was allegedly committed on 16th May 2013.
Dave Elroy Sweeney of New Castle, Nevis was formally charged for the offence of Being The Leader of a Gang, and was later remanded to Her Majesty`s Prison.
COURT CONVICTIONS
District “B” Magistrate Court
Janice Duncan of Farms Housing Development, Sandy Point and Lorna Desuza of Mount Idle, Sandy Point were both convicted for the offence of Disorderly Conduct by Making Noise which was committed on 23rd January 2013 at Mount Idle, Sandy Point. They were both placed on a bond in the sum of EC $2,000.00 for a period of six (6) months to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
Ras Saukofa Maccabbee of Chapel Street, Dieppe Bay was convicted for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Cultivation committed on 24th October 2012 at Chapel Street, Dieppe Bay. For the Possession charge he was fined $5,000.00 which is to be paid by 13th June 2013 or in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison with hard labour and for Cultivation he was sentenced to one (1) month in prison with hard labour. It was further ordered that If the fine of $5,000.00 is not paid then the sentence will run consecutive with the one (1) for Cultivation.
Wayne Grant of Green Tree Project, Old Road was convicted for the offence of Driving without Due Care and Attention committed at The Alley, Sandy Point on 9th February 2013, and fined $1000.00 which is to be paid by 31st May 2013 or in default will serve thirty (30) days in prison with hard labour. It was also ordered that his driver’s license be suspended with immediate effect for a period of three (3) months.
Traffic Accident
Officer of the Traffic Department responded to traffic accident scene at about. 9:45 pm on Friday 2013 on the Frigate Bay Road in the vicinity of the ECCB. Initial investigation revealed that three (3) motor vehicles were involved in the accident and two (2) occupants of one (1) of the vehicles were taken to the hospital for medical attention and were shortly discharged. Investigation into this incident is ongoing.
WOUNDING
Officers of the CID are investigating wounding which left one young man hospitalised. Initial investigation revealed that on Friday 17 May 2013 the young man went to the ST. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla Nation Bank ATM at Central Street when he was attacked by an unknown assailant who wounded him.
