The students at the V& J’s Pre- School, had their moment in the sun, on Friday 26th February.
That is the day when their annual sports meet was held at the ST.John’s Recreation Grounds aka the FLATS.
The distinguished patron of the day, was Adelvin Phillip, current national cricketer and former student of the school.
The meet commenced with an impressive march past which made some of the parents blush with pride as they watched the youngsters lifting their feet much higher than the Police officers at an Independence Day parade.
Thereafter, the enthusiastic little athletes competed in such events as sprint races; socks and shoes; lime and bucket; dress up race and fill the bottle..
At the end of the day, the following were the overall results:
Gold 268-Champion house
Red 263-second
Green 243-third
