Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 08, 2015 (SKNIS): St. Kitts and Nevis will see the opening of an Embassy Suites by Hilton Hotel in early 2017. This announcement was made in a press release from Hilton Hotels on Wednesday (May 6) after signing a franchise agreement with Caribbean-based developers Sterling Developments. The 226 suite hotel is currently being built in Pelican Bay, St. Kitts.
Once completed, the Embassy Suites will be Hilton’s first property in St. Kitts and Nevis.
“The signing of Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Kitts furthers Hilton Worldwide’s goal to serve any guest for any trip occasion anywhere in the world and underscores the confidence we place in the Caribbean as a top tourism destination,” said Ted Middleton, senior vice president, development, Latin America Hilton Worldwide.
Mr. Charles Ross, Chairman of Sterling Developments (SKN) Limited, said, “St. Kitts is one of the hidden gems of the Caribbean and the Embassy Suites by Hilton brand is a perfect fit for our beachfront development at Pelican Bay in St. Kitts.” He further stated, “Adding a Hilton branded hotel to the island will bring a boost to local tourism and we look forward to Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Kitts becoming a destination of choice in the Caribbean.”
The release also stated that Miami based Trust Hospitality has been appointed as the property’s management company. Richard Mallard, CEO and Chairman of Trust Hospitality said, “We are excited to partner with Hilton and Sterling Developments in launching this world-class hotel, and become part of the game changing landscape in this incredible part of the world. We look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
The condo hotel complex is an approved Citizenship by Investment project and will include six towers with 226 suites, 3,847 square feet of meeting space, and all amenities. The new hotel will offer the brand’s signature features such as an inviting atrium environment, where guests will have access to complimentary cooked to order breakfast and the evening “Manager’s Reception.” Restaurant facilities on the resort will include a three-meal restaurant, a specialty restaurant, and pool and beach bar. It will also provide guest, Embassy Suites by Hilton’s signature spacious suites with a separate living area, private bedroom and wet bar fitted with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. All rooms will have direct views of the Caribbean Sea.
