Plans for the upcoming Leeward Islands Masters Tournament are being fine tuned.
According to Franklyn ‘Kut’ Daniel, the tournament will be played in honour of the late Carlylse W. Hobson who was brutally murdered earlier this year and who was one of the hard working engineers of the Masters’ Tournament from a Nevis perspective.
The tournament will be played in Nevis from June 6th to 8th. Matches will be played on all three days and teams will arrive in Nevis on the June 5, 2014. The two main venues to be utilized will be the ET Willet Park and the Cotton Ground Playing Field.
The teams that will be participating this year are:
Host team and defending champions, Nevis; St.Kitts; St.Croix; Antigua; St.Maarten; Anguilla and St.Thomas.
The recently released schedule reads:
Friday June 6th — 9.30 am –St.Kitts v St.Croix at the ETW and Nevis v Anguilla at Cotton Ground
2.00 pm—St.Kitts v St.Maarten at Cotton Ground and Antigua v St.Croix at ETW
Saturday June 7th—9.30 am—Antigua v St.Kitts at Cotton ground and Anguilla v St.Thomas at ETW
2.00 pm—Nevis v St.Thomas at ETW and St.Croix v St.Maarten at Cotton ground
5.00 pm—St.Maarten v Antigua at the ETW
Sunday 8th June—9.30 am—semi finals at ETW and Cotton Ground
2.00 pm—Finals at ETW
