(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Many persons in the Federation of St. Kitts- Nevis are questioning what really happened to nine year old Kadeem Pereira. His lifeless body was found on Monday morning, October 7, 2013 just meters away from his home in a clump of bushes.
Residents of St. Kitts and Nevis are still in shock over the death of the nine year old Primary School student who would have celebrated his tenth birthday on the day his lifeless body was found.
According to information received, Kadeem was last seen on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at about 7:15 p.m. leaving Ken Rogers’ Shop just a few distanced away from his home in Godwin’s Estate. Nevispages understands that Kadeem usually make errands to the shop for his mother but sadly on that day Kadeem did not return. Instead his body was discovered by a Police K-9 on Monday.
An autopsy was conducted on the body of the deceased on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 and it is still unclear as to what was the actual cause of death. However, reliable reports indicate that Barbados-based forensic pathologist; Dr. Stephen Jones will voyage to the Federation to conduct a second post mortem.
Nevisians are affected and saddened by the news as much as those in the sister island, St. Kitts. All citizens of the Federation are hoping that the second post mortem can bring some closure to the family and all who are distressed by the death of such a young boy.
