The fifth annual Easter Swim Camp, hosted by the SWIM to WIN organization, began on Tuesday, April 8th, and will conclude today, April 11th, with closing ceremonies.
According to Kendra Pemberton, the camp is being held in collaboration with the Four Seasons Homeowners Association and the Nevis Sports Department.
There are 44 registered participants, aged 5 to 12, who are receiving instruction in two sessions each day: one in the morning and another in the afternoon, led by five trained swim coaches.
The children are learning the basics of swimming, focusing on overcoming their fear of water, feeling comfortable, floating, kicking, and practicing various strokes.
Two closing ceremonies will take place today: one at 11 a.m. and another in the afternoon, during which the children will be presented with certificates.
