The St. Kitts and Nevis Sailing Association (SKNSA) prides itself on always seeking opportunities for development of both Sailors and Instructors on and off the water. Thus, we are delighted to announce that for the first time, two of our sailors, Amadi Byron-Hendrickson and Melroy Henry will be attending the 33rd International Scholecher Sailing Week in Martinique. The Carcia Nautique de Schoelcher will be hosting this Reggatta from February 28th· March 4th, 2025.
This Regatta will serve as a development pathway for both of our Laser (Olympic class boats) sailors who will be competing in the ILCA6 category. We aim to not only further enhance their present sail and race tactic skills, but to also ensure that our sailors become even more competitive in any Regatta they partake in. We believe that with constant exposure, our sailors will thrive and be at their best.
We wish Melroy and Amadi all the best and look forward to hearing about their great adventure and implementing the innovative techniques acquired at this prestigious Regatta.
SKNSA is happy to support such initiatives as it brings future development for our sailors both in St. Kitts and in Nevis.
We would like to thank all those who would have contributed financially or otherwise to make this trip possible, especially Cercle Nautique de Schoelcher, St. Kitts -Nevis Olympic Committee for their ongoing support, President Nicholas Dupre, Coach Nickhail Rogers, the Byron-Hendrickson family, the Henry family, donors and member Clubs Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center (NASC) and the St. Kitts Yacht Club (SKYC).
