Traffic Court Convictions St Kitts

At a Basseterre Magistrate sitting on October 17th, 2024, presided over by Her Honor Mrs Shelly Ann Liburd-Charles, the following individuals were convicted and fined:

1. Van Damm Burke of Buckleys was fined $1,000 for driving without due care and attention on April 29th, 2023. The fine is payable by October 31st, 2024, or he faces 14 days imprisonment in default.

2. Lajaune Yearwood of Fort Thomas Road was fined $1,500 for driving without due care and attention on June 4th, 2024. The fine is payable by October 31st, 2024, or he faces 14 days imprisonment in default.

3. Javinson Hutchinson of Cayon was fined $1,000 (to be paid in two months), $1,500 (to be paid in one month), and $100 (payable by October 18th, 2024) for multiple offences committed on July 12th, 2024, including driving without insurance, driving without a valid license, and using unauthorized lights. He faces 14 days imprisonment in default.

4. Brendon Audain of Basseterre was cautioned for permitting another to drive without insurance on July 12th, 2024.

5. Collin Caines of St. Peters was fined $2,000 for driving without due care and attention on July 23rd, 2023. The fine is payable by October 31st, 2024, or he faces 30 days imprisonment in default.

Furthermore, 14 traffic ticket matters were withdrawn after proof of payment in the Vehicle Registration System (VRS).
