As the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots finalize preparations for the 2024 CPL season, teams from St. Kitts and Nevis are coming together to form a combined team to take on the Patriots.
On Sunday, August 18th, the two teams participated in the first of two trial matches at the ET Willet Park. Nevis batted first and was bowled out for 142 in the 20th over.
Akadianto Willet played exceptionally well to reach 37 runs, while Newman and Hanley each picked up 3 wickets. In response, St. Kitts managed only 111 for 9 when their 20 overs were completed.
Jaleel Clarke stood out with a fine half-century, but most of the batsmen struggled against the spin twins Onaje Amory and Skipper Theron Bussue.
