The 4th annual Christena Memorial Swim Camp concluded on Friday, August 2nd, at the Yachtsman’s beach.
Forty-eight registered children received their certificates in two separate ceremonies, one held in the morning and the other in the afternoon.
Hon. Eric Evelyn was present at the morning session and assisted in presenting certificates of participation to the deserving young swimmers.
Terri Andrews, the chief coordinator of the program, chaired the morning session and thanked the NIA, parents, and all those who have contributed to the success of the swim camp since its inception.
She also highlighted the growing recognition of swimming on Nevis, with Troy Nisbett recently representing the federation at the ongoing 2024 Olympics.
Minister Evelyn also expressed similar sentiments, congratulating Troy Nisbett on his phenomenal accomplishment and encouraging people of all ages to take advantage of the available swim camps on the island and learn to swim.
