On July 22, 2024, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) and the St. Kitts-Nevis Defense Force searched Mr Bejay Tuckett’s property in Stapleton, during which they found an unlicensed firearm and several rounds of ammunition. The search yielded one firearm, along with a magazine and twenty-five matching rounds of ammunition, all found in a bag. Additionally, the bag contained clothing items that are suspected to have been used in the commission of a crime, including a face mask, gloves, a hoodie, and pants. Following the search, Mr. Tuckett was arrested and charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition on July 24, 2024.
Commissioner of Police, Mr James Sutton, emphasized the commitment of the RSCNPF to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of the community. He urged the public to report any suspicious activities to help create a safer environment for all. The RSCNPF will continue to thoroughly investigate this matter and provide further updates as necessary.
