Football : Bath United Dominates at Antigua Cup

The Antigua Cup concluded on Saturday with Lion Cub, Earthquakes, and Bath United emerging victorious in their respective divisions.
In the Under 10 Division, Lion Cub secured a convincing 3-0 win over Young Warriors. Tomarey Henry scored twice, while Ayden added a third to seal the title.
The Under 13 final saw a thrilling encounter between Earthquake and Lion Cub, ending in a 1-1 draw with goals from Shumba Thomas for Earthquake and Henry for Lion Cub. The deadlock was broken in a tense penalty shootout, with Earthquake clinching the championship 2-1.
Nevis-based Hot Springs Bath United dominated the older age groups, claiming the Under 17 Division trophy with a 2-1 victory over Old Road and also triumphing in the Under 15 category.
Individual accolades were awarded across divisions:
• Under 10: Jahnoy Floyd
• Under 13: Tomarey Henry (Lion Cub)
• Under 15: Jaheem Hazel (Bath United)
• Under 17: Adrian Williams (Bath United)
The Golden Boot Award saw a three-way tie between Kemari Brodie and Omarie Francis of Young Warriors, and Jaheem Hazel of Bath United, highlighting the tournament’s competitive nature.
This year’s Antigua Cup showcased the region’s emerging football talent, with teams from Antigua and Nevis demonstrating skill and sportsmanship across all age groups.
