The police are currently investigating a shooting incident that took place in Cayon, St. Kitts. The incident left thirty-four-year-old Devon Norford of Lover’s Lane, Cayon, with a gunshot wound at the back of his head on May 14th, 2024.
Initial investigations suggest that Mr. Norford was confronted by an armed assailant in his home. He managed to barricade himself in a room to escape the attack. After a short time, he exited the room and realized that the assailant had fled the scene. Mr. Norford then contacted the police and was taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment. He is currently in stable condition.
The Crime Scene Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) has collected some items of evidential value and is currently processing the scenes. An investigation into the incident is underway, and updates will be provided to the public as the investigation progresses.
