Police Investigating Lower Prickley Pear Alley Shooting

The police are currently investigating a shooting that took place on May 10th, 2024, at Lower Prickley Pear Alley on St. Kitts.

The shooting happened between 8:30 PM and 9 PM and left three people injured. The victims are Avian Huggins of Lower Thibou Avenue, Xavier Dore of Upper Market Street, and Davin Phipps of Lower Westbourne Ghaut.

According to preliminary investigations, the victims were approached by two masked and armed assailants on a motor scooter, one of whom got off the scooter and opened fire at them. Fortunately, the victims managed to escape the attack and were taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital by the police. Mr. Huggins sustained a wound to his right foot, Mr. Dore was wounded in the right side of his chest, and Mr. Phipps was injured in his right side and underwent emergency surgery. All three are currently in stable condition.

The Crime Scene Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) processed the scene and collected evidence.

An investigation into the incident is now underway, and the police will keep the public informed of any developments.
