The Ministry of National Security in the Government of St. Christopher (St. Kitts) and Nevis is currently investigating an incident that took place on March 9th, 2024, where a rubber dinghy was found washed up at Keys Bay, St. Kitts.
The St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force Coast Guard (SKNDF-CG) informed law enforcement officers about suspicious activity in the area, and the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) and the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force Infantry (SKNDF-I) responded to the scene.
Although the vessel was empty, the officers discovered several personal items, indicating that it had been occupied by multiple people before. It remains unknown whether the dinghy came ashore with these people on board.
The Ministry of National Security and the RSCNPF are requesting assistance from the general public. If anyone notices any strange or suspicious individuals in their community, they should immediately contact the nearest police station.
