Cricket fans on Nevis are hopeful that in the not-too-distant future, regional and international cricket will return to the ET Willet Park.
On Friday 9th February, members of the West Indies Cricket Board, visited and inspected the ET Willet Park, with a view of hosting top-class matches again, at the venue.
As part of the inspection team were: Miles Bascombe, Enoch Lewis and Graeme West.
Also present were the president of the Nevis Cricket Association, Carlisle Powell and members of his executive, along with Director of Sports, Jamir Claxton.
According to Messrs. Bascombe and Lewis, things look promising for the venue to host such matches.
Powell and Claxton indicated that they are now awaiting a report from the WICB which will indicate any shortcomings and issues to be rectified or upgraded.
Powell noted that the Nevis Island Administration is on board and will assist in making any adjustments required.
