A three-week swimming clinic commenced at Oualie Beach on Thursday 17th August.
According to National Swim coach, James Weekes, it is geared to youthful swimmers from both St. Kitts and Nevis.
It is being coordinated by international Swimming Coach Yash Daryanani, ably assisted by local swim coaches from St. Kitts and Nevis.
It will run for a period of three weeks and the main aim is to select the crème de la crème of the swimmers, in order to put together a national swim team and ultimately, an OECS swim team, which will participate in the annual OECS swimming competition, set for St. Lucia in November of this year.
According to Weekes, the training sessions will be intense and are intended not only to test the physical skills of the participants but also their mental capacity and endurance levels.
