Famed Nevisian and former West Indies cricketer, Elquemedo Tonito Willet MBE, celebrated his 70th birthday on Monday 1st May.
Willet was the first Leeward Islander to make it into the West Indies cricket team.
This feat was accomplished on March 9th, 1973, against Australia.
Cricketing fans are eagerly awaiting the grand announcements for the upcoming Independence awards, as it is strongly felt that finally, Willet will be awarded the status of a national hero.
