A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for the Federation of St.Kitts and Nevis.
At 11:00 pm, the center of Tropical Storm Fiona was located near latitude 16.6 north, longitude 62.2 west or about 59 miles southeast of St. Kitts and 43 miles southeast of Nevis.
Based on the latest forecast track information, the center of Tropical Storm Fiona is expected to be close to St.
Kitts and Nevis after midnight.
This means that St. Kitts and Nevis will be exposed to Tropical Storm force winds on the order of 39 mph.
Rainfall of 1 to 4 inches are possible over the next 24 hours. This could produce flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas as well as mudslides.
A flash flood watch is now in effect until Saturday at 8 am.
Residents are urged to monitor Tropical Storm Fiona closely and implement their disaster plans.
