Basseterre, St. Kitts (05 September 2022) – The St. Kitts Tourism Authority in partnership with Royal Caribbean Group facilitated a Summer Group Workshop in preparation for the upcoming 2022-2023 cruise season. The workshop commenced on 28 August and successfully concluded on 02 September. The St. Kitts Tourism Authority sees it as their prime duty to provide professional development opportunities for all stakeholders within the industry to improve and diversify the destination’s tourism product.
This year’s edition of the Summer Cruise Workshop was offered to ATV Operators, Catamaran Operators, Taxi Operators, Open Air Safari Operators, and the St. Kitts Scenic Railway. The workshop facilitated informative presentations which sparked fruitful engagements amongst attendees and facilitators. Mr. Cesar Pascuales, Manager, Onboard Operations & Shore Excursions of Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean Group delivered thorough presentations with respect to customer service, guest experience and shore excursions. History is an important asset to St. Kitts and contributes significantly to the destination’s unspoiled image. Historian Mr. Leonard Stapleton refreshed all attendees on the unique and rich history of St. Kitts through comprehensive and interactive presentations for the week-long workshop.

The St. Kitts Tourism Authority continues to prepare for the upcoming 2022-2023 cruise season which is expected to be very prosperous, and the authority is also anticipating an increase in stayover visitors to the destination for this upcoming winter season.
