The Sports Department on Nevis is hosting a summer Football camp at the ET Willet Park.
Forty participants, which include males and females between the ages of 6 to 16, are learning new skills.
The participants are being taught the basics of Football, which include passing, dribbling, controlling and shooting.
According to Coach Aljay Newton, at the end of each day’s session, the children engage in a mini-match, in order to showcase the skills that they would have learned on that particular day.
There will also be a big match day at the end of the two weeks camp, which commenced on Monday 18th July.
Between August 22nd and September 22nd, a full tournament will be hosted with the same participants, coordinated by the Sports Department.
Also assisting with the coaching sessions, is renowned FIFA referee, Kimbel Ward.
