The SKN Moves Nevis Chapter is preparing for its next big event.
This one will be held over a period of four weeks, in the month of September.
It is dubbed THE NEVIS KNOCK OUT and will be held at the Fit Park, situated at Bath Plain.
The organizers are looking for 32 persons, representing 16 teams and will be so organized as to pit teams from the Private sector against teams from the Public sector.
Registration is just $20.00 per person and persons can show their interest by contacting Ms. Shelagh James at the Health Promotions Unit, or Jamir Claxton at the Department of Sports.
Interested persons can also send an email to shelagh.james@niagov.com.
Competitors must be 18 years of age or older and must have a level of fitness, as the competition involves the top team to complete the obstacle course in the fastest time against the clock.
The first round will see eight teams being eliminated. Round two will be the quarter-finals; round three will be the semi-finals and round four will be the grand finals.
More information will be provided as regards the major sponsor in an upcoming press conference and the exciting prizes to be won, will also be announced then.
Director of Sports, Jamir Claxton, is responsible for recruiting volunteers for the competition and is urging persons to make contact with him, urgently.
They would have responsibility for timing, scoring and recording.
The organizers are urging interested persons to train hard and well and to eat properly, as the course is a grueling one.
Safety features will also be on hand for the competition, along with the Red Cross team.
The Ministry of Health and Gender Affairs is fully on board in support of the activity.
