On Wednesday 29th April, the Charlestown Primary School celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Significantly, there was much to celebrate, as it was the day after the school convincingly three-peated at the mega event, known as the Gulf Insurance Interprimary sports meet aka THE MINI OLYMPICS.
, noted that the celebratory activities will be spaced out over a period of one month, starting with the anniversary service, slated for Wednesday 4th May, at the Shiloh Baptist Church.
The theme this year is:
‘CPS at 30-Overcoming challenges; building resilience and sustaining academic excellence.’
In a brief address, Mrs. Haynes stated:
“On this foundation, I join with the students, staff, parents and the community to give God thanks in recognition of his mercy in bringing us through the past thirty years.
As we celebrate this anniversary, our hearts are filled with pride and joy, knowing that in spite of the many unforeseen challenges, with God’s help, we have overcome and have obtained many victories and we continue to strive for excellence in all areas.
We encourage the community to support us during our celebrations and a heartfelt thank you to all past principals, teachers, students and our supporters.
God bless.”
