The upcoming SJCIC-hosted kite flying competition, slated for Good Friday-15th April, at the Flats in Cole Hill, has received sponsorship.
According to a release from the St. John’s Community Improvement Club (SJCIC), the sponsors on board are The Ministry of Tourism, The Ministry of Education and Auto Plus.
Individuals will vie for cash prizes, for winning kites in the following categories:
Biggest kite; best flying kite; best-designed kite; most creative kite and best book leaf kite.
Other attractions include the Sale of traditional Easter foods; a bouncing castle and a domino competition, along with musical entertainment provided by DJ Wenty.
The action kick starts at 12.00 noon with the registration of kites at $5.00 per kite and vendors will pay just $50.00
