St. Kitts over 50’s team, reported to the VOJN grounds on Sunday 30th January, to face off with their counterparts from Nevis, in match four of the ongoing series.
The St. Kitts team won the toss and elected to bat first and got off to their best start of the series so far.
They got to 38, before their first wicket fell and thereafter, Charles Morton took control and batted right through, to be not out, just short of a deserved half-century.
The Nevis team in response, got off to a rollicking start, with their first wicket falling with a score on 22.
A couple of quick wickets and suddenly the Kittitians were buzzing in the field and with the venerable Carlton DuPont pacing around the boundary edges, it seemed as if they finally had one in the bag.
That is when Curtis TATICS Dore, former Nevis player, took full control, playing some spanking shots all around the ground and well supported by Oneil Walters and Sydney Newton.
The victory was completed in the 19th over, with Dore unbeaten on a superlative half-century.
