Real Name: Tequan Hollingsworth, but constantly on the afternoon of Thursday 18th November, he was being referred to as TAKE ONE.
He really did take one though, as he dominated the GSS Junior Boys’ cross country event, to take first place.
Quite a number of boys participated, starting in the vicinity of Best Buy Supermarket, making a turn by Brino’s shop; through Hull Ground; through Hard Times; up 16 acres hill; down through Old Manor; back onto the main road and climaxing at the school.
Tequan for his part, was hardly visible in the early exchanges, but suddenly emerged at the front of the athletes, in the Hardtimes area and from thereon he held on to the first spot—but only just, as he received a serious challenge from Kayin Bumett, who ran him a close second, right up to the final stretch to the school.
However, Tequan had just enough gas, to prevail.
