With just about one week remaining for the upcoming Luther Kelly 35 and over tournament, the defending champions, Nevis players, are in a bit of a quandary, as regards their practice sessions.
Concerns were initially raised over the non-attendance at practice sessions by a number of selected players, but sessions were further hampered this week, by regular showers of rain, which doused the ET Willet Park.
President of the Nevis Masters Cricket Association, Franklyn KUT Daniel, has issued a plea to all players to show up at the VOJN grounds, this coming Sunday for a proposed practice match, which is scheduled to commence at 1 pm.
Nevis is expected to field two teams in the tournament this year: The defending champion’s team and a B team.
The tournament will be played on the 23rd and 24th of October, at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex in St. Kitts.
