Charlestown, Nevis: On Tuesday, December 29, 2020, representatives from the island-wide Seventh Day Adventist Church on Nevis, specifically those of the Community Services Department, assembled at the Flamboyant Senior Citizens Home, to present well-needed gift packages to the residents there.
The Community Services Department of the Church has made it a point of duty to make an even more extensive presentation each year. The Church has contributed to the Home for over the last ten years.
In the past, the gift presentation program to the residents included the serving of lunch and a brief program made up of songs, scripture readings, and a sermonette.
Due to the covid-19 restrictions, this year, only the gift packages were presented.
Sister Tasha Parry of the Charlestown congregation made the presentation on behalf of the church and and extended best wishes to the staff of the institution and the residents.
Receiving the gifts on behalf of the home, was Nurse Manager, Ms. Donna Hanley, who noted that the gifts were not only timely but will be utilized to the benefit of the residents.
The gift packages included: Twin sheets; toiletries (soap, lotion, roll-ons, toothpaste); pampers and washcloths.
