Public Relations Officer of the Rawlins Community group, Michael WISE Herbert, has confirmed that the Hardtimes playfield is currently set to undergo some well-needed repair work.
Of specific interest at the moment, is the main cricket pitch area, which has suffered from elements of erosion, due to rainfall, over the last several months.
According to Herbert, the pitch area has already been marked out and will shortly be dug up. The next phase of the repair work will be the addition of clay, which will be directed by Junior DUNCAN Mills and then the pitch will be rolled and left to get set.
Herbert figures that the entire process should be completed sometime in February, in time for the commencement of the annual Village Premier League.
