The Nevis Masters’ Cricket team continues in its preparation for the 2019 Leewards Islands Masters tournament, which will be held in Antigua, this year.
As part of the preparations, an exciting match will be played this coming Sunday -10th February, at the VOJN Grounds in St. James’.
The match will serve as an avenue of match practice for the team but food and drinks will also be on sale, as it will also serve as a fund raiser for the team’s trip to Antigua.
It promises to be an exciting event as the Masters will be split into two teams-one captained by Joel Simmonds and the other by Carl Tuckett.
President of the Nevis Masters Cricket Association, Franklyn KUT Daniel, is inviting the general public to come out and support the endeavour and witness some exciting cricket at the same time.
‘We have assisted in raising funds for Blackman’s cause and now we are seeking to assist ourselves as well,’ he stated.
The Masters cricketers will meet at the ET Willet Park this afternoon-Tuesday 5th February, as they make plans for attending the funeral service of Teddy BLACKMAN Liburd (former team mate) and plan for the match on Sunday.
The two teams are expected to be named today.
