Michael WISE Herbert and Mica Williams, two of the chief organizers of activities at the Hard Times Play field, have confirmed that Sunday 20th January will be a big day at the Hard Times Play field.
On that day, the Hard Times Committee in conjunction with the Community Development Department, will host a huge fun day, for the benefit of the wider Nevisian community.
According to the two gentlemen, the day’s activities will commence at 1 pm and will feature such events as Domino competitions; six a side cricket matches of 4 overs per team duration; bouncing castle for the children and will climax with a grand tug –o-war event.
A minimal registration fee for the Domino competition and the Cricket tournament, is being finalized but team winners can expect grand trophies and cash prizes.
Individual prizes will include lunch at some of Nevis’ finest restaurants and shopping vouchers.
A bumper crowd is expected to come out to be part of the fun day, which according to Herbert wills serve as a precursor for the annual VPL league, which will commence at the same venue, sometime in February.
