Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 9, 2018 – As crime continues to escalate there are reports on Monday that a liquor store in the Pelican Mall and a restaurant on Port Zante were two Basseterre businesses broken into over the weekend.
According to informed sources, Pelican Liquor & Tobacco in the Pelican Mall and the Tamarind Restaurant on Port Zante were targeted by thieves.
Tobacco and a cash register with an unknown amount of currency were stolen from the Pelican Mall business on Sunday morning.
It was not immediately known when the Tamarind Restaurant on Port Zante was broken into and what was stolen.
Police are investigating.
