With all of the focus recently placed on the MINI Olympics on Nevis, the annual Kite Flying competition, hosted by the St. John’s Community Improvement Club (SJCIC), seems to have been placed on the back burner.
However, on Tuesday, long serving President of the club, Mr. Alsted Pemberton, confirmed that the annual event, is indeed well and truly on for Good Friday 30th March.
The event will commence at 12.00 noon on Friday 30th March, at the usual venue-The FLATS, in Cole Hill.
As usual participants will compete for prizes in such categories as Biggest Kite, Best Flying Kite, Most Creative Kite, Best Designed Kite and the Best Book Leaf Kite.
Also featured will be traditional Easter foods, domino and cricket competitions, bouncing castle and music.
