Auckland Hector Passes
Former St.Kitts and Leeward Islands wicket keeper/batsman, Auckland Hector, passed away on the 31st of December.
Hector, in his life after Cricket, served as President of the St.Kitts Cricket Association, for a period of time.
Hector was recognized as an outstanding wicketkeeper and a calm and steady batsman who helped the teams he p[played for on many occasions, to get out of critical situations.
He was 72 years of age.
Between 1964 and 1975, he played 58 first class matches; made 728 runs, at an average of 15.82 and a highest score of 58*.
