Report of Arrests, Convictions and Other Activities

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 29, 2017, (RSCNPF):  Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period May 27^th – 29^th 2017.

 Arrested: Ackeem Connor of St. Paul’s was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Robbery.

 Arrested: Bernel Francis of Haynes Smith Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the following offences; driving and keeping for use an unlicensed vehicle, driving unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance and driving without rear license plate. He was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 ECC for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Friday 6^th July 2017.

 Arrested: Adrian Hunt of Cherry Gardens Housing Project was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Battery on Police, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction.  He was granted bail in the sum of Five thousand dollars ($5000.00) for his appearance at Charlestown Magistrate Court on Tuesday 30th May, 2017.

 Bailed: Peter D’Aguiar of Cotton Ground who was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Possession of Cannabis was granted bail in the sum of $3000.00 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on Tuesday 30th May, 2017.

 Bailed: Jahdey Hanley of Fothergills who was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Possession of Cannabis was granted bail in the sum of $3000.00 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on Tuesday 30th May, 2017.

 Bailed: Hancil Fyfield  of  Zion Village  who was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Possession of Cannabis was granted bail in the sum of $3000.00 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on Tuesday 30th May, 2017.

 Bailed: Jahi Henry  of Zion Village who was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Possession of Cannabis was granted bail in the sum of $3000.00 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on Tuesday 30th May.

 COURT CONVICTIONS:

In Matters the Charlestown Magistrate Court presided over by Her Honor Miss Donna Harris and reported the following conviction -Tessa Howell of Cane Garden was convicted and fined Two hundred and fifty dollars  forthwith or seven (7)  days imprisonment for the offence of Parking in a no parking area.

 OTHER ACTIVITY: 

Marijuana Plants Uprooted: A patrol of officers reported that they discovered, uprooted and seized, three hundred and sixty five (365) marijuana plants ranging from seedlings to four (4) feet in height on a plot of land located at Dieppe Bay.

 Abandoned Properties: Police continues to execute searches of abandoned properties; most recent searches were done in following area: St. Johnston Village. This search was done for controlled drugs, firearms and ammunition.

 Search Warrants Executed: Police executed a number of search warrants during the period of this report.  Warrants were executed on properties in the following area: Cotton Ground (Nevis)

 Traffic Accidents: There were a number of accidents on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts during the period of this report.

 Citizen Safety:  Police continue to conduct Vehicle Check Points and Stop and Searches along the island main road on St. Kitts and Nevis. Officers continue to conduct searches of abandoned properties and lots. The execution of search warrants continue as well. These activities are being conducted in support of anti-crime objectives to remove illegal firearms and ammunition, illegal drugs and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities.
