As expected, it was an intense battle, as the local Football league continued at the ET Willett Park on Wednesday 8th February.
BA Stoney grove Strikers engaged the Youths of the Future.
In the first quarter, The Stoney Grove team struck first but that was followed shortly thereafter by a quick response by the Youths.
It was 1 goal-all at the half time whistle.
Both teams intensified their efforts in the second half, but full credit to the defenders on both sides of the field. They helped their respective goalies to keep the ball out of the net.
To compound the issue, The Stoney Grove men missed a penalty towards the end of the game, as the attempt hit one of the uprights.
