Meridian Trust Company Limited and Morning Star Holdings Limited are seeking applications for a suitable candidate to fill the position of Compliance and New Business Administrator. The successful candidate will work as part of the Compliance and New Business Unit, under the Supervision of the Compliance & New Business Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Compliance & New Business Supervisor with responding to any email correspondence or telephone enquiry received by the department, inclusive of new business enquiries and or any compliance related matters.
- Initial and ongoing review of client due diligence documents to ensure that they conform to the Saint Christopher and Nevis Statutory Rules and Orders.
- Ensuring that all new files are set up in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Assist Compliance & New Business Supervisor with preparing and submitting Compliance Reports when necessary.
- Identifying Suspicious Activity and preparing Suspicious Activity Reports for submission to the Financial Intelligence Unit.
Qualifications and Experience Needed
- Educated to not less than CAPE Level, and with CXC/CSEC passes including English A
- A relevant Degree or a Compliance designation or certification would be considered a significant asset.
- Work experience in a Compliance oriented environment.
Skills and Attributes Required
- Pay strong attention to detail and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Be analytical, observant, organized and highly confidential.
- Have the ability to work with a team.
- Have excellent computer skills, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Be able to work with minimal supervision in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Fluency in Spanish would be an advantage.
