PM Douglas and senior Hyatt Hotels official to speak at groundbreaking of Hyatt St. Kitts

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JUNE 3RD 2013 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas and Senior Vice President for Hyatt Hotels, Mr. Pat McCudden will be among speakers at Tuesday afternoon’s groundbreaking ceremony for the multi-million dollar Park Hyatt St. Kitts.

Also speaking at the ceremony to begin construction of the first phase of the 200-room hotel and 50 branded residential condominiums are Minister of Tourism, Sen. the Hon. Richard “Ricky” Skerritt and Vice Chairman of Range Developments, Mr. Mohammed Asaria.

The ceremony will be chaired by Mrs. Elena Skerritt.

Upon completion, Park Hyatt St. Kitts will feature 200 hotel rooms and 50 branded residential condominiums set within Christophe Harbour, the 2,500-acre master planned community currently under development on St. Kitts’ southeast peninsula.

Phase one of construction will include the completion of 125 hotel guest rooms, two food and beverage outlets, a fitness center, a 12-treatment room spa and more than 7,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space.

The second phase of construction will include the completion of the 75 remaining guest rooms and a third food and beverage outlet.

Park Hyatt St. Kitts will be situated at picturesque Banana Bay, which boasts an unspoilt white sand beach with spectacular views over the water toward Nevis.
