Police recently charged 52 year old Jerome Kelvin Williams of Maynard’s Ground, Gingerland, Nevis for the murder of 18 year old Chazere Davis of Taylor’s Pasture. The offense was committed on Monday, May 20, 2013. He was allegedly the last person who saw the teenager alive.

In St. Kitts, officers on Thursday, May 29, 2013 charged 24 year old Krami O’Loughlin aka “Imark” of Hermitage, Cayon for murder. He was charged for the murder of 30 year old Jermaine Dore aka “Chow Mein” also of Hermitage, Cayon. This act was committed on Saturday May, 18, 2013 at Hermitage, Cayon while Jermaine was allegedly in a neighbor’s yard playing domino.

Since the recent murders in Nevis, officers have been on a rampage in an effort to eradicate crime that seemed to have intensified over the past few months.

A number of persons were arrested and taken into police custody for questioning in relation to the murders of 29 year old Kishmoy Challenger of Pond Hill and 21 year old Jamal Isles of Fountain Village. Challenger was attacked on his job site on May 14, 2013 while Isles was gunned down at his home on May 21, 2013. Both murders occurred within seven (7) days of each other. Youngsters from Pond Hill, Cotton Ground, Newcastle and other areas were detained and questioned for these murders. However after 72 hours they were released.

The story of these murders got stranger when the missing vehicle of Challenger, from Gingerland was found twelve days after his murder in an area in Fountain Village known as ‘Gore Hill’. Another conundrum to be solved was the recovery of a pickup truck P 9990 owned by the Nevis Island Administration and was reported missing on Tuesday May 21, 2013. The truck was recovered in a bushy area at Hickman’s Village, Gingerland on Wednesday. May 22, 2013 with its interior burnt. It is alleged that this vehicle was used as transportation in the murder of Isles, from Fountain Village.

As police continues to investigate these matters, Nevisians remain baffled with this series of unexplained murders.
