St. Kitts & Nevis National Carnival
· The Department of Youth Empowerment presents for Junior Carnival 2023 Celebrating forty (40) years of anything is an extremely big deal, because forty signifies resilience, stability and perseverance through very deeply rooted history. Independence 40 was a celebration for the books.
The atmosphere was very warm and inviting and our people rallied together in welcomed harmony; many even gladly embraced the opportunity to flood the streets wearing our National colours on the designated colour days. That show of patriotism was refreshing and so it was only fitting to extend the celebrations into our nation’sbiggest upcoming festivial – St. Kitts & Nevis National Carnival 2023 (Sugar Mas 53).
This year, the Department of Youth Empowerment excitedly accepts the task of chairing the Junior Carnival Parade. It is our hope that young revellers will not only have a wonderful time but that they will learn to appreciate their culture and history even more.
